Failure or Success
I started my day off wonderful
With fasting and prayer
But it wasn’t long before
I sensed failure in the air
My prayer turned into crying
Fasting gave way to food
And the cleaning I was planning
I just wasn’t in the mood
I felt like a total failure
And I told this to my Lord
I said how could you still love me
When I’ve surely dropped my sword
He brought to my remembrance
A song for little children
Yes, Jesus loves me
Was the title I was given
I began to sing this tune
Then the tears began to flow
I knew the Lord was telling me
I love you more than you know
I love you when you succeed
I love you when you fail
I love you on the mountain
I love you in the dell
So no matter how good
No matter how bad
The Lord still loves you
After all He is still your dad

I completely amen your "Failure or Success" poem, but cheer up and don't be so hard on yourself. We are in a daily battle against our flesh. You did not let God down, your flesh was stronger than your spirit this time and it overcame you. I know that we want to be neat, clean and tidy, but our Lord is unconcerned with that. I know that you wanted to fast and pray, but for some reason your spirit wanted to pray and did not want the physical fast that you wanted at this moment because it was not yet time for this personal sacrifice. You can always fast in other ways like 7 days or more without television and radio, replaced by more bible study, prayer,and composing your internet bible teachings. Remember God wants to be number one in your life and the three main things that He wants is your complete allegiance, your love and your obedience to Him and to His Word, amen. My love to you and Shane.
